At our city-owned campground in Au Gres, we take pride in offering a peaceful, well-maintained space where you can unplug, unwind, and enjoy the beauty of Michigan’s sunrise coast. Whether you’re staying in a tent, RV, or one of our cozy cabins, you’ll have access to a wide range of campground amenities designed to make your stay enjoyable and stress-free.

Our Campground Amenities

Spacious Campsites

We currently offer 108 campsites with a mix of electric and water hookups. Our sites are large enough to accommodate everything from tents to full-sized RVs. Many are shaded and are well-spaced to ensure privacy and comfort. We’re also expanding with 25 full hook-up (sewer, water & electric) , 33 river site with water and electric and 50 off river sites with water and electric. Coming soon with additional 28 lots and cabins, perfect for guests seeking convenience and modern connections.

Cabin Rentals

Looking for a little extra comfort? We offer two rental cabins, ideal for those who want to enjoy the campground feel without pitching a tent or managing an RV. Each cabin is simple, cozy, and just steps away from all major amenities. Two more cabins are coming soon!

Clean, Modern Restrooms

At the City of Au Gres Riverfront Campground, cleanliness is one of the top reasons our guests return year after year. We offer modern restroom and shower facilities that are cleaned regularly by our friendly staff.

Picnic & Pavilion Areas

Planning a group event or family gathering? We offer rental pavilions that can accommodate small parties or large groups up to 300 people!

Easy Access to Fishing & Boating

Our location near Saginaw Bay and Lake Huron makes us a favorite among anglers. Whether you’re launching a boat or casting from shore, you’ll love the easy access to some of Michigan’s best fishing spots.

Family-Friendly Features

We pride ourselves on being a family-friendly campground and offer playground equipment for the kids on-site. Plus, there’s a splash pad just down the road—a great spot to cool off on warm summer days!

Close to Town

One of our most-loved features is our proximity to downtown Au Gres. Campers can easily access local shops, restaurants, and grocery stores without sacrificing the quiet, nature-filled environment of the campground.

There is a lighted riverfront walkway with pedestrian bridge into town. Campground manager is on site. Kayak rentals that include life jackets are available for rent in office. Small store inside park office for ice, drinks, wood, snacks and more!
